About BatchWebP
BatchWebP is a browser-based image conversion project. It is designed for batch preparation work: select local files, apply one conversion rule, inspect the output, and download individual files, a ZIP, or a CSV report. Image bytes and filenames are processed in the browser during conversion and are not sent to a BatchWebP image-processing server.

What problem does BatchWebP solve?
Many image tools optimize one file at a time or require source files to be uploaded before conversion. BatchWebP focuses on mixed local batches, repeatable settings, visible output sizes, comparison before export, and filenames that match the actual generated format.
What does the project maintain?

What does BatchWebP not claim?
BatchWebP does not claim that every WebP file is smaller, that one quality value fits every image, or that a converted source guarantees better Core Web Vitals. It is not affiliated with Shopify, WordPress, Google, or browser vendors. Platform behavior and browser encoders can change, so dated sources and limitations are included where relevant.
