What makes BatchWebP different?
BatchWebP focuses on queue-based batch conversion in the browser. Add many files, tune quality once or per image, and export a ZIP without creating an account or uploading to a remote server.
Which formats can I convert?
Input: JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, AVIF, ICO, BMP, APNG. Output: WebP, or convert WebP back to common formats from the same tool.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
Image bytes and filenames are processed with browser APIs and are not sent to BatchWebP during conversion. The working queue is kept in the browser tab and is cleared when the tab is closed.
How many images can I convert at once?
Each batch can contain up to 100 images. Each file can be up to 40 MB, the combined batch can be up to 250 MB, and each decoded image can be up to 40 megapixels. These browser-memory safeguards are separate from upload limits because conversion remains local.
Can I use BatchWebP for client work?
Yes. You keep full control of the source files. For regulated industries, local processing can simplify privacy reviews compared with cloud converters.
